Concrete can be beautiful. Did you know there are awards every year for decorative, artistic concrete creations? They take place at the World of Concrete convention every year. Participants apply and are chosen by the editorial staff at World of Concrete. At the show, each participant is given a 10×10 foot concrete pad, electricity and water.
Then, it’s up to the artist as to what they’ll create! There are interesting creations every year, including fountains, monuments, trees, statues – even a Scrabble board was once created out of concrete.
