Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain all mechanical aspects of plant and yard equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Communicate with supervisor on parts inventories and supplies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor and auger systems, power tools, overhead cranes, welding and fabrication, SMAW, GMAW, plasma torch, oxy/acetylene cutting, and wheeled vehicle repair and operation (including yard tractors, forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders).
- Basic understanding of lockout/tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor electrical issues and repair.
- Ability to understand and follow direction.
- Ability to read and understand parts diagrams in order to assemble/disassemble miscellaneous equipment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Committed to safety, customer satisfaction, first time quality and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years experience as a maintenance technician in a heavy industrial environment.
- Two (2) year technical school degree
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a ladder
- Should not be afraid of heights
