Team Assistant – Savage, MN (5.30.13)

Position Summary:

Assist Sales Engineers and Project Managers in the functions necessary to ensure that each project comes to completion with efficient, expedient, successful, and profitable results.  Engage in direct communications related to projects with clients, subcontractors, architects, owners, Fabcon employees, and, occasionally, financial institutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the IFS database as it pertains to specific projects
  • Provide clerical support including typing, filing, arranging travel, answering phone calls, and providing back-up phone assistance to Project Managers and Sales Engineers
  • Handle the mail and prepare expense reports
  • Assist the team in acquiring finish sheets, financial information and routing of contracts
  • Workload – Support more than one Project Manager and/or Sales Engineer
  • Miscellaneous office responsibilities and special projects as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Type 60+ wpm and Dictaphone transcription
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Committed to safety, customer satisfaction, first time quality and efficiency
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of office experience and/or business school

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Office, plant, and field
